Five Accessories Enters Sales Incentive Market

Five Accessories, a Chicago-based online store that originally sold only handmade handbags and accessories from Bali, announced its newest offerings from Guatemala, Honduras and the United States. Also, Five Accessories has created an incentive program for distributors. Items may be purchased by corporate buyers and bulk order discounts at a discount of up to 15 percent.
The Five Accessories collection features handbags and accessories handmade with materials ranging from bamboo to coconut shells to recycled materials and more, which are specific to the global regions in which they are created. “We want to enhance the modern woman’s look by offering products that are carefully selected for their fun designs, natural materials, quality craftsmanship and affordable prices,” said founder Christine Hutchison.

By providing these products for purchase online, the company is helping support grassroots efforts around the globe to aid under privileged children. The company’s efforts include donating five dollars of every handbag sold and 15 percent of all other sales to each artisan’s local cause.

Cloth Bags

Five Accessories is now featuring four cloth bag designs from the Coleccion Luna collection inspired and created in Guatemala. The handmade handbags support fair-trade practices and give back to local artisans in Guatemala. The designs are dedicated to the Guatemalan trade and tradition of textiles. Best described as “Bohemian Chic,” the collection is inspired by the Indians and the natural resources of the country. Prices range from $55 to $65.

Denise Disharoon Jewelry Collection

Five Accessories also announces the silver jewelry collection by Denise Disharoon. The handmade collection by this Atlanta-based emerging artist includes her Triple Delicate Circle Necklace, Mini Delicate Necklace and Short Bone Earrings. Denise’s jewelry is inspired by organic forms found throughout the natural world and by the most basic, elemental shapes. Denise approaches her jewelry from a sculptural perspective with the intent of endowing each piece with a sense of simplicity, elegance and balance. All monies raised from purchases of the Disharoon collection will be donated to C.A.R.E., a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty of which Denise is actively involved. Prices range from $45 to $99.
Eco Handbags: A Fair Trade Project By the Women of Honduras

Also being added to the Five Accessories line are Eco Handbags, created as a solution to the growing ecological damage in Honduras from the burning of trash. These handbags are crafted from potato chip bags and have changed the lives of this community’s residents by contributing to a healthy and clean community. The handbags come in three sizes: small, medium and large, and the elaborate process results in either a metallic silver or colorful design that is unique to the women’s craft. Prices range from $25 to $35.
