Forever 21 Keeps Cranking Out Branded Apparel Collections, This Time With Pepsi

It’s been a big year for brands bringing back old-school styles, mainly popular trends from the ’80s and ’90s. Forever 21 is one of many companies creating these looks, and the fashion retailer has proved (once again) to be the king of collaborations. Its latest branded apparel collab, with Pepsi, includes tons of throwback styles, tie-dye and more. It’s just the latest in a long line of unexpected Forever 21 brand partnerships, and we think it’s going to be another hit.

The Forever 21 x Pepsi collab launched last week, and the brand posted on its Instagram page letting fans know exactly when they would be able to purchase the line. The exclusive line also featured Alison Wonderland, a well-known Australian DJ, as the face of the collection.

The collection includes an assortment of crop tops, biker shorts, slides, T-shirts, shorts, caps and more. Plus, not only are there a variety of size options, but there are also pieces for both men and women. If you’re not into the throwback apparel, the collection also includes a Pepsi pool float, a tie-dye beach towel and a beach ball, because you know, summer is right around the corner.

One of the crops includes the Pepsi logo with the company’s classic slogan, “The choice of a new generation,” which instantly made us think of that hilarious scene in Wayne’s World.

Of course, when Alison Wonderland announced the collection on her Twitter page, fans had a few comments. One user wrote, “Forever 21 knows what they’re doing bc I’m going to buy one of everything in the collection now.”

Others said they aren’t fans of Pepsi and would rather see this collab with Coca-Cola, which is a fair statement—everyone has their own soda preference. But, with the amount of collections Forever 21 has been doing—like with USPS and Kodak—who knows, Coke might be next.

We’ve previously talked about how logomania is a main component in these collections, and it doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. This line especially highlights the Pepsi logo, along with bright and trendy neon colors, like pink and yellow. Pepsi is already an iconic brand, and given Forever 21’s target demographic, this collab makes sense.
