Frito-Lay is the latest to go all-in on holiday-themed branded merchandise after adding a full line of holiday apparel to its Snacks.com e-commerce store.
Have you been looking for the perfect product for the Cheetos fan in your life? Look no further than (of course) a holiday sweater, a scarf, a hat or a Chester Cheetah-themed adult onesie.
That’s not even the only onesie they have in stock. Each brand (Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Smartfood and Tostitos) has a onesie, scarf, hat, socks and sweater.

To bring in the actual food itself, each order is listed as a “holiday bundle” because it comes with a bag of the corresponding snack.
“We received such an overwhelming response to last year’s ‘Favorite Things’ campaign from our fans asking how they could purchase a number of items in the spot that in 2020 we knew holiday sweaters were an absolute must, especially at a time when we’re all looking for simple and fun ways to add some joy and cheer to our everyday lives while also creating new traditions with family and friends,” Rachel Ferdinando, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Frito-Lay, told Food and Wine.
This is just the holiday-themed store. If it goes the way of other companies’ similar drops, there’s reason to believe that Frito-Lay will keep that momentum going for future holidays or “just because” merchandise drops.
As we go further into winter, and some states continue lockdown measures to limit the spread of COVID, onesies might just be the most popular item in apparel.
