Galaxy Balloons Inc., Cleveland, announced that it has acquired the Great American Drinkware Company, West Alexandria, Ohio. Financial details of the acquisition were not immediately released.
Terry Brizz, MAS, president of Galaxy Balloons, said in a press release that he is “excited about the opportunity to expand [Galaxy’s] line with Great American drinkware’s USA-made molded products, and add new decorating capabilities.”
The line will include drinkware products such as coliseum cups, double wall insulated tumblers, wing ring flyers, zing bee flyers and pill cases. These products were traditionally produced in the company’s West Alexandria facility, but Galaxy will relocate the company’s assets to its 100,000 sq. ft. Cleveland headquarters.
Galaxy Balloons ranked No. 46 on our 2018 Top 50 Suppliers list with $14.2 million 2017 sales. The acquisition not only introduces more product lines to Galaxy’s offerings, but increases its domestic production and made-in-U.S. offerings.
