Go Promo, West Fargo, N.D., and Green Street Promotions, Hope, N.D., announced that they have merged operations and will continue to operate under their own names.
According to the West Fargo Pioneer, the two owners, Casey Glandt (Go Promo) and Casey McCullough (Green Street Promotions) made the decision in order to give themselves better buying power among suppliers and more strongly compete in the industry. The merger was finalized on Jan. 1.
“We built a decent brand for both of our companies, so, we have a decent following and a decent customer list between the two of us,” McCullough told the West Fargo Pioneer. “What we’ve found is the two businesses complement each other very, very well. Instead of being competition, we found both of our interests to become much more powerful together.”
Go Promo’s typical end-buyer base is made up of local high schools, colleges and universities, while Green Street specializes in supplying apparel for corporate customers.
McCullough added that the two companies were able to finalize the deal without having to lay off any employees, and the differences in clientele allows them to operate without stepping on any toes or competing against one another.
“We allow each other now to pass customers to who has better understanding [of] what that customer base needs or wants,” McCullough said.
“We have a little more leverage with some of our nationwide suppliers as far as getting better deals for our customers,” Glandt said.
