Just in time for back to school, Hanes is expanding its exclusive apparel partnership with Box Tops for Education, offering families two great ways to raise money for their local schools while stocking up on apparel essentials. The Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based apparel manufacturer introduced the Hanes4Education program in March 2011 as a way for schools to earn valuable Box Tops when they order printed Hanes shirts from suppliers for spiritwear, school uniforms and other school events. Now, Hanes is expanding the partnership to products sold at leading retailers by adding Box Tops to packages of Hanes children’s underwear, socks and outerwear T-shirts as well as select bonus packs of adult underwear and socks.
“Hanes is known for its products’ superior comfort and affordability and its commitment to social responsibility. Now through our expanded partnership with Box Tops for Education, we’re giving families another great reason to feel good about their purchases,” said Sidney Falken, chief branding officer, Hanes. “Since launching last year, Hanes has helped parents and local schools redeem over half a million Box Tops. We are proud to partner with an organization to help schools earn cash for much needed supplies, equipment and other resources and we hope to far extend the impact as we launch our retail program.”
“Box Tops for Education is thrilled to expand our exclusive partnership with Hanes with two great ways for schools to earn Box Tops on Hanes products,” said Gail Peterson, director of Box Tops for Education. “Since Box Tops for Education was established in 1996, we’ve helped schools earn $475 million powered by a passionate community of volunteers and partners like Hanes.”
