Hit Promotional Products, Largo, FL, announced the promotions of Jennifer Grigorian to chief marketing officer and Krista Ward to vice president of marketing.
“Hit is very pleased to be giving Grigorian and Ward a chance to use their years of experience with our organization to better serve our customers,” said Hit CEO CJ Schmidt. “We fully expect both will be assets in the years to come, allowing us to provide our customers with the high-quality products and services they deserve while enabling us to achieve our goals for growth as a company. As you may know, Hit has a long-standing policy of promoting from within whenever possible. That way, both our staff and customers benefit from the knowledge and skills acquired over time while ensuring the continued high quality of our brand. Both Jennifer and Krista are truly part of the Schmidt family. Bill Sr. used to call them his daughters, and they have been like sisters to me. This promotion means so much, not only to the organization, but our family as well.”
Since first joining Hit in 2011, Grigorian has served as the vice president of marketing since 2011, and also accumulated several years of related experience with other companies since starting in the industry more than 27 years ago.
“I started my first industry job in 1996,” she said. “I was working as a temp while I attended college. I didn’t understand what the industry was, except that everyone I worked with was having fun while being creative. They were playing with extraordinary products and were always in good spirits. It was not long after starting that job that I completely fell in love with this industry. It was fun yet challenging, and it seemed like a path I wanted to explore. The rest was history!”
Since first joining Hit in 2008, Ward has served as the director of marketing. Prior to that position, she served in other roles of increasing responsibility and authority. She was in inside sales from 2008 to 2010 before being promoted to director of marketing, and also accumulated several years of related experience with other companies.
“I started in the industry in college, and held positions in marketing and sales for a competing supplier company,” Ward said. “While working there, I completed my education and earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with an advertising focus. I’d always leaned toward the marketing field, but my time in promotional products led me to do a directed study on the industry, and stay and grow within the industry. I was with that company for eight years before starting at Hit, where I worked for 14 years. I started in our inside sales department, working with the Midwest territory, and various national accounts and buying groups. After about two years in that department, Schmidt promoted me to my current position of director of marketing. I’ve been grateful to be a part of the company’s growth over the past 14 years, and enjoy the challenge of helping to further it.”
