Move over, Netflix. As of last week, you can now purchase branded clothing, headwear, posters, coffee mugs and more from Hulu. Launched on Nov. 15, the new online store, called Shop Hulu, features merchandise for all your favorite shows provided by the streaming service.
According to CNET, shoppers will not only be able to buy merch tied to shows like “American Horror Story” and “What We Do in the Shadows,” but on Nov. 30, limited-edition ugly sweaters will also go on sale.
And that’s not all. There will also be various holiday-themed gifts available tied to your favorite programs. For those who are fans of the streaming service itself, there’s also Hulu-branded swag up for purchase.
And in keeping with the holiday spirit of giving, if you purchase a special ugly sweater through Dec. 31, 100% of the purchase price (excluding taxes and shipping fees) will be donated to Feeding America.

To further sweeten the deal, Shop Hulu visitors will also receive a discount on their first purchase if they sign up for the official newsletter. The company states that there will be additional special offers throughout the year starting on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Hulu now joins Netflix in the branded merchandise game. Netflix, as we’ve seen, has been in the midst of an aggressive merchandising push that’s seen it launch pop-up shops, branded plush toys, customizable T-shirts and more. The streamer opened its own dedicated online store in June and partnered with Walmart for an online store on the retailer’s website.
Netflix’s subscriber numbers dwarf Hulu’s, so we’ll see if Hulu will even try to go as big on merch as its rival. But its new online store is a start, and with the platform majority owned by Disney, we also wouldn’t be surprised if Hulu ramps up merchandising in the future.
