Illini, Vernon Hills, Ill., has moved its headquarters to a newly built facility located at 1000 Woodlands Parkway, also Vernon Hills. At 120,000 square feet, the building houses all of the supplier’s office, production and warehouse employees. This expansion allows Illini to increase its core pad-printing output, expand its digital printing technologies, add additional laser-engraving decoration methods, and increase office space to accommodate growth throughout the organization.
“We’re excited about our brand-new headquarters. It allows us to go beyond customer expectations by increasing our production speed to deliver faster turnaround times, add more machinery and expand our workforce,” said Neil Fine, president, Illini. “Our new office space enhances employee engagement by facilitating greater collaboration and fostering an innovative culture.”
Several measures were taken in the construction of the new warehouse and office building to achieve optimal sustainability. Local materials were used when possible, as well as low emitting materials, including paint, flooring, adhesives and sealants. A state of the art storm-water management system was put into place, including water-efficient landscaping. Increased ventilation and high-tech lighting systems allow for constant energy savings throughout the day based on sun exposure and the building becomes even more energy efficient when unoccupied.
