Jack Nadel, businessman and industry leader, passed away at his home in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Sept. 24 at the age of 92, according to PPB Newslink.
Nadel started distributor Jack Nadel International with his late wife, Elly, in Los Angeles in the ’50s. It was one of the first companies to hire women. In the ’60s, Nadel was elected to the Promotional Products Association Industry (PPAI) board of directors and served as chair from 1970 to 1971. In 1998, he was inducted into the PPAI Hall of Fame.
He has written several books, including the award-winning e-book, “The Evolution of an Entrepreneur.” Nadel is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Judie and Jeff; stepchildren, Shari and Hillary; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Santa Barbara Cemetery at 11:30 am on Sept. 28. In lieu of flowers, his family requests gifts in his memory to be send to Sansum Clinic (P.O. Box 1200, Santa Barbara, Calif., 93102, Attn: Dru A. Hartley).
