If you thought we reached peak umbrella innovation, you would be wrong. According to CNET, former Samsung engineers have designed the latest, futuristic umbrella.
The Opus One connects to the user’s Opus One Jonas app to detail seven days of weather, so that users always are aware of whether or not they’ll actually need an umbrella. Personally, I think that makes a lot of sense, since the law of the universe seems to be that whenever I don’t bring an umbrella, it rains, and whenever I do, there’s not a cloud in the sky.
The umbrella’s Bluetooth handle connects to the user’s phone, and it will vibrate when the user gets a call or text. Perhaps the coolest feature is the L.E.D. lights on the handle, which glow a specific color for different weather. That way, there’s no surprises when you step outside.
But, the most useful feature has to be the Bluetooth sensor that can alert you if you forget your umbrella.
