J. Charles, Erlanger, Ky., announced the acquisition of its sister company Quarry International Inc., effective Jan. 1, 2016.
Quarry International Inc.’s president, Jim Fitzgerald, will retire at year’s end after 27 years of leading the company.
“Due to common ownership, it only makes sense for J.Charles to make this acquisition,” said Barry Dyas, president of J. Charles. “We certainly wish Jim a long and happy retirement, and we know his employees, as well as many distributors, will miss him very much.”
Quarry International Inc. and J. Charles reside in the same building, allowing for a seamless transition and no disruption of service.
“We see this as a good fit for J. Charles, as Quarry’s stone products have a classic look that are a nice alternative to our mostly contemporary line of glass and crystal,” Dyas added.
