At 21-years-old, Kylie Jenner, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star and world’s youngest self-made billionaire, has really made a name for herself. She’s known for a lot of things, but her lip kits have been a huge seller among many fans, and there’s no sign they’re slowing down. Now, Jenner is teaming up with Adidas for an apparel collection inspired by and in promotional support of her lip kits.
Fans of the Kylie Cosmetics lip kits—especially of the more unique shades—will likely love this launch with Adidas. The “Reveal Your Voice” collection is inspired by the lip shade “Shady,” an intense blue color. Online, you can find pieces such as body suits, a track jacket with a matching skirt, hoodies, joggers, a pair of Falcon sneakers, tees and anything else that fits into the athleisure category.
Jenner also spoke with Vogue about the collection and the lip kit that inspired it:
A beauty quick-change artist who’s apt to switch hair colors and gloss shades on a whim, Jenner’s Adidas collab grew out of what else: her popular range of lip kits. “Shady [is] this really beautiful blue, it’s out of the box and inspired me to create all of these super cute clothes with Adidas,” Jenner shared with Vogue. “I think the color turned out so beautifully.” The idea of coordinating an outfit to a beauty theme is nothing new for Jenner, whose social media is filled with instances of her matching her lipstick to what she’s wearing, but she insists the fashion statement is what’s most important. “I definitely take into consideration my make-up every time I pick an outfit,” she says. “The outfit comes first. And then the make-up. So [it’s] like an accessory—the cherry on top.”
The entire collection goes along with Jenner’s athleisure style, plus it incorporates her famous lip kits. Adidas has teamed up with a ton of big names, including its recent limited-edition sneaker release with HBO and Game of Thrones. While Jenner’s Adidas collection doesn’t feature any of her lip kit branding—it’s more of a “theme” playing off the color—it’s still doing some heavy lifting to promote her make-up line and her own personal brand.
