As we’ve seen on tour apparel, college T-shirts and rugs, misprints happen. That said, spelling a major athlete’s name wrong on the back of his own jersey is a pretty big no-no. Los Angeles Galaxy, and former Liverpool FC, star Steven Gerrard played a game on Sunday evening with “Gerrrad” on the back of his jersey.
The team took it in stride, tweeting “Close enough,” and using the hashtag #rad.

For the record, Gerrard, showing his ability as team captain, didn’t let the misprint on his jersey ruin his game. According to Sky Sports, Gerrard played a role in the Galaxy’s tying goal against the San Jose Earthquakes.
