Editor’s Picks: Pin It to Win It

When I hear the phrase “pin it,” I think of Pinterest and the rush I get while combing through recipes and DIY decorations that I can never successfully create myself (although I can crochet; that’s cool, right?). I spend hours at my computer “pinning,” which makes me wonder if I should bring my love of pinning to the real world. The technological trend seems to signify that grandmom’s pins should make their debut into the 21st century. After all, pins and brooches were the original way to show the world your interests and good taste. Perhaps I can’t deck myself out like a Pinterest board (seeing as wearing pumpkin muffins might attract bugs instead of friends), but a decorative pin here and there can add the glitz I need on every outfit. Plus, I don’t have to worry about creating the pins myself because I have you.

Treat clients to the tangible joy of Pinterest with these trendy pins, or get your company’s name out there and customize your own.

Applause for a Good Cause
Pins are great for spreading awareness. These Awareness Pins from Julie of California can add color and cause to any wardrobe. Custom die-struck cast white-metal pieces ensure these ribbon pins are made to last.

The Hawk Will Never Die
As a proud Saint Joe’s alum, I can’t help but gravitate toward the pin form of my fierce school mascot. Luckily for me (and my fellow alums) Marken Industries has my back with its Hawk Lapel Pin. Marken Industries also provides numerous pins for any mascot (though Hawks are preferred by this writer).

Anchors Away
Although seafaring days are over for the East Coast this year, your clients can still keep a piece of the ocean with them through the winter with the Anchor Lapel Pin from Mastercast Ltd. (This anchor is a lot lighter than a real anchor, which is imperative if your clients are on the move.) Each Mastercast design includes a goldtone, silvertone or antique pewter finish, as well as a military clutch and polybag.
