Let’s Review Michelle Obama’s New Book Tour Branded Apparel

This week, Michelle Obama released her new memoir “Becoming,” which has already generated quite a buzz. In support of the book’s release, the former first lady will hit the road for a speaking tour that will feature a line of branded apparel and other items for sale.

According to People, the American-made merchandise line will feature clothes, mugs, pins, notebooks, tote bags and candles with motivational messages that relate to the memoir.

The quote include lines like “Find your voice,” and “They go low, we go high.”

But what has our attention is the apparel. Let’s take a look at some of the offerings.

1. The Create World Crewneck

This black unisex long sleeve sweater features the phrase “Work to create the world as it should be” on the front and the “becoming” logo on the wrist. We like the simple look of the blue font on the black crewneck, but we’d have to admit we’re not as impressed with the font choice. Still, the wrist decoration is a cool idea. If you’re looking for a prime spot for additional logos or branding in your own apparel promotions, this is it.

2. Harder to Hate Long Sleeve

We are on board with this black long sleeve tee, which features the “becoming” logo on the sleeve and “It’s harder to hate up close” on the front. While we first found the font choice on the front to be too small, we realized that was probably done on purpose to prove the point of the T-shirt. We’ll give it extra points for the big sleeve decoration.

3. Signature Grey Hat

We like the color choice for this hat, and we are big fans of the embroidery designs.

There are several other apparel options on the store, and we think the collection is solid, overall. It’s simple, yet bold, and there seems to be something for everyone. View the full collection here.
