Tustin, California-based Logomark announced today that it will donate 12,000 pounds of pasta throughout the year, 1,000 pounds per month, to help feed underprivileged youth in Orange County in 2011. The company will donate the pasta to Chef Bruno Serato, owner of the Anaheim White House restaurant, who provides nightly dinners to the youth at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Anaheim. Logomark CEO and president, Trevor Gnesin, pledged the contribution on behalf of Brian P. Padian, the new Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC) president and Logomark vice president of sales, and the entire SAAC organization’s mission to give back to the community and Chef Serato’s amazing cause.
Chef Serato makes it his personal mission to feed warm pasta meals to underprivileged youth in Orange County, currently totaling 150 meals, seven days a week. Now, with Logomark’s generous support, Chef Serato will be able to feed 300 kids daily—an additional 60,000 meals this year.
“Seeing a local business doing such meaningful work is always moving and we’re honored to help reinforce Chef Serato’s mission,” said Trevor Gnesin. “We are fortunate to be in an industry that offers the opportunity to foster a strong sense of community—to be able to take those values and extend them beyond our scope of work into our respective communities is very important.”
Logomark, a longstanding member of SAAC, is committed to supporting the organization’s many efforts. As Padian enters his new role he will focus on strengthening the association from the inside out, including increased community involvement.
“On behalf of SAAC and myself I’m grateful for Logomark’s generosity,” said Padian. “The sense of pride, community and accomplishment is incredible as we all work together in business and philanthropy. This is just the beginning for how we can help and give back as an industry to the community. I look forward to seeing this effort continue as we move further into 2011.”
