Executive John Lear has joined the promo market – and he’s doing it with Top 40 supplier Logomark (asi/67866).
The Tustin, CA-based firm announced May 1 that Lear has come aboard as chief operating officer. Clive Goldberg had held the role before being promoted to president in the winter of 2023. Trevor Gnesin, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people, remains Logomark’s CEO/chairman.
Gnesin and Goldberg are excited to have Lear join the C-suite at Logomark, which ranked 14th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry based on reported 2022 North American promo revenue of $115.4 million.
“John will play a pivotal role in guiding our company through its next phase of growth and expansion, streamlining our operations, enhancing efficiency and delivering greater value to our customers and stakeholders,” Gnesin said.
Prior to Logomark, Lear had what executives described as a 25-year career in the capital and consumer goods industries.
He was most recently chief operating officer at American Tubs, which specializes in walk-in bathtubs. Past roles at the company include vice president of sales and vice president of retail. Other previous positions include general manager and vice president of sales/marketing at Jacuzzi Group Worldwide.
Lear earned an MBA from the University of California, Irvine at The Paul Merage School of Business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
“John brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in operations management, strategic planning and business development,” Goldberg said. “His proven track record of driving operational excellence and fostering growth aligns perfectly with Logomark’s vision for the future.”
Founded in 1993, Logomark currently offers more than 3,000 products in a range of categories, including items from retail brand partners. Logomark also has a focus on corporate social responsibility, earning a silver rating from sustainability assessment firm EcoVadis in 2022 and 2023.
