Winter Park, Florida-based M2 Enterprises announced its partnership with Sakar International Inc., a 30-year old consumer electronics manufacturer.
Through this new partnership M2 has also acquired the Vivitar, Datexx, Kaito and Lingo brand names that the company can add to its list of vendors such as Igloo, Weber and Samsonite.
M2 first opened its doors in 1999 selling decorated Igloo coolers to colleges and has since expanded its business into the promotional products industry with categories including luggage, sporting goods, watches and bicycles.
Scott Miller, president of M2 Enterprises, had this to say about the new partnership, “Obviously the electronics category is hot in our industry, but there aren’t many quality products in that category that combine quality with affordability. You usually have to sacrifice one or the other.” Miller continued, “Adding the Vivitar and Sakar brands is really exciting because it diversifies M2’s product lineup and introduces our industry to a wide variety of high-quality yet affordable electronic products that can be decorated.”
Carey Berg, vice president of special markets for the Vivitar-Sakar brand said, “Vivitar-Sakar has experienced dramatic growth over the past 10 years in both the retail and premium/incentive markets. Our company has expanded to include a stable of more than a dozen owned and licensed brands including Vivitar, Kodak, The Weather Channel, For Dummies, Nickelodeon, Crayola, Star Wars, Hello Kitty, Spider-man, Hulk, Iron Man and more.” Berg continued, “We chose to partner with M2 as our primary [promotional products] distributor. M2 brings to the party a full service, turnkey operation for advertising and distribution of our products to the [promotional products] industry.” Berg concluded, “M2’s professionalism and experience has confirmed that our [promotional products] business is in good hands.”
