Teresa Moisant, MAS, owner and president of Oklahoma City-based Moisant Promotional Products was named one of six winners of 2011’s Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEOs for small businesses with 50 or fewer employees by The Journal Record. The awards presentation and dinner was held at The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
The Journal Record annually honors talented business and nonprofit leaders throughout the state. These CEOs consistently demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, values, vision, commitment to excellence, financial performance, and commitment to community and diversity. A panel of Oklahoma business leaders selected the 33 finalists, which were divided into eight categories based on company/organization type and size.
“It was difficult for our selection committee to narrow down the group to finalists and extremely tough for them to select the overall winner in each category,” said Mary Mélon, president and publisher of The Journal Record. “All [of them] clearly demonstrate the criteria of integrity, values, vision and commitment to community that this program sets out to recognize, and each offer their own unique style that makes them exceptionally strong leaders. The high caliber of the leaders we honored gives me great confidence in Oklahoma’s future as we navigate through challenging economic times.”
Moisant commented, “I have been fortunate in my career to be honored; however, receiving this award is very special to me because it is all about doing the right things for the right reasons. Additionally, several individuals who were also recognized with this award are executives whom I have looked up to throughout the years—you could call them my heroes. To be in the company of this illustrious group is quite humbling and I am most appreciative of this recognition.”
