Newton Manufacturing Co. Hosts 2013 National Sales Meeting and Trade Show

Newton Manufacturing Company, Newton, Iowa, held its annual national sales meeting and trade show in Nashville, Tenn.

The themed event, “Where You’re the Star,” kicked off on September 8 with a reception dinner where over 150 Newton Manufacturing representatives, guests and employees enjoyed reconnecting. Newton Manufacturing Company recognized and celebrated the successes and longevity of many of its sales representative’s commitment and passion.

“Where You’re the Star was a huge success,” said Molly Beavers, Newton Manufacturing’s senior marketing manager. “Our sales representatives left excited and energized for the year ahead.”

Impactful presentations were held at the Sheraton Music City by both Newton Manufacturing and several of their premier suppliers. They offered valuable insights on tools, products and trends to help representatives grow their business.

The event included promotional products speed sessions, like speed dating, at the trade show. The event allowed 16 suppliers to court sales representatives by sharing information on their products in a more intimate setting. Sales representatives raved about the sessions because they were able to glean much more about particular suppliers and their products and felt equipped to promote their products to customers.

Not to be outdone by the speed sessions, more than 45 nationally recognized promotional product suppliers were there to show the latest and most popular trending products that are available in today’s market. Newton Manufacturing sales representatives were able to touch and feel the products and speak directly to the supplier representatives regarding trends and popular uses.

“Nashville is certainly a wonderful city but our supplier partners are truly what made the event such a success,” Beavers said. “Their contributions and the information provided certainly equipped our sales representatives with what they need to wrap up the sales year strong.”

Beginning with the beautiful accommodations at the Sheraton City Music City Hotel, sales representatives and suppliers alike got a peek at a few of the city’s many attractions. They toured Downtown Nashville, the Belle Meade Plantation and enjoyed dinner on the General Jackson Showboat. But who can visit Nashville without also taking in the Grand Ole’ Opry and wrapping up the week with dinner at the Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville.

“We value the relationships we have with our sales representatives and suppliers. We see them as extended family and events like this just strengthen the connection. It’s our intent that they know just how valuable they are to us,” Beavers said.
