Newton Manufacturing Company, Newton, Iowa, welcomed more than 100 representatives for “Drive More Sales,” the company’s first-ever national sales meeting. The racing themed event was held Sept. 19-21 in the company’s home town of Newton.
“Drive More Sales was a huge success,” said Molly Beavers, Newton Manufacturing’s senior marketing manager. “Our sales representatives left motivated for the busy sales season ahead.”
The event kicked-off on the Sept. 19 with a welcome dinner with the representatives and Newton Manufacturing employees. The dinner was a chance for the representatives to meet face-to-face with the people that they work with on a daily basis. The company took the opportunity to recognize both employees and representatives for their years of service.
The next day was packed with educational sessions featuring presentations from Newton Manufacturing staff and suppliers Crystal D, Showdown Displays, Leed’s and SanMar. The sessions focused on tools and trends to help representatives grow their business. The busy day was followed up by a relaxing evening of pace car rides and dinner with supplier representatives at the Iowa Speedway.
The last day of the sales meeting featured a tabletop trade show inside the Iowa Speedway’s garage. Inside this unique venue, the Newton Manufacturing representatives received one-on-one attention from 65 of the company’s preferred suppliers.
“Our supplier partners did an incredible job in supporting us throughout the week,” Beavers added. “Their contributions helped to make this event a memorable one.”
Before the close of the event, the company announced that they will be holding their second annual national sales meeting next September in Nashville, Tennessee.
