Next Level Apparel, Los Angeles, announced that Randall Hales has joined the company as co-CEO along with Joe Simsolo. Simsolo will be transitioning out of the day-to-day management of the company during 2021, but will continue to stay connected to Next Level as an advisor, board member and shareholder.
Hales has served as the president and CEO of First Scientific, Back to Basics Inc., Mity Enterprises and ZAGG Inc. During his seven years at ZAGG, the company grew from an entrepreneurial startup to earning more than $500 million in worldwide revenues.
“I feel very fortunate to be joining the Next Level team to build on the current momentum and help the company achieve its goals,” Hales said. “Innovative products, targeted distribution and enhanced service will be key drivers of revenue and profitably as the company continues to grow.”
During his career, Hales was recognized as the CEO of the Year in 2018 during his time at Zagg Inc., Utah Manufacturer of the Year in 2010 and 2018 while at Mity Enterprises Inc., and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 while working at Back to Basics Inc.
During his time at Back to Basics Inc., the company was also included in the Inc. 500 list of Fastest Growing Companies in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
In addition to his executive tenure, Hales has served on 16 boards across a wide variety of industries, and since 2013 has been recognized as a National Association of Corporate Directors fellow.
