The NHL is showing its true colors with a new line of licensed apparel. For its “Hockey for Everyone” month, the league is selling shirts with each of the 30 teams’ logos in a rainbow color scheme.
“Hockey is for Everyone uses the game of hockey—and the league’s global influence—to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities,” the NHL said on the webstore. “We support any teammate, coach or fan who brings heart, energy and passion to the rink. We believe all hockey programs—from professionals to youth organizations—should provide a safe, positive and inclusive environment for players and families regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation and socio-economic status. Simply put, Hockey is for Everyone.”
In addition to the rainbow shirts, the league is selling a black shirt that reads “Hockey is for Everyone” with the NHL shield.
