Apparel brands have been partnering with movies and TV shows like crazy lately. Vans launched a “Harry Potter” collection, K-Swiss revealed a “Clueless” collection, and now Nike is getting in on the action with a “Stranger Things” collection.
Mind you, this isn’t even the first time “Stranger Things” has teamed up with an apparel brand in the last few months. But it is its first foray into athletic apparel. The collection is set to drop on June 27, but we now have some initial teasers.
Nike unveils Stranger Things collaboration inclusive of the Nike Cortez, Blazer and Tailwind as well as apparel. The first drop incorporates Hawkins High's green and orange color scheme launching on 6/27. The second pack with red, white & blue launches on 7.1 pic.twitter.com/7huwpMHLfc

The first reveal gives us some product shots of sneakers and apparel. It looks like the collection will spotlight Hawkins High’s green and orange school colors, as well as the school’s Tiger mascot. The tees look reminiscent of a classic retro physical education uniform from the ’80s. In addition to tees, there will be sweaters and hats in the school’s colors, according to WWD.
For the shoes, Nike is bringing back its vintage Cortez, Blazer and Tailwind sneakers for a revamp in the iconic Hawkins colors. Come July 1, the shoes will be released in red, white and blue versions.
In other words, if you were looking for the perfect ’80s capsule collection, this is probably it. With vintage styles taking off lately, we’re sure this collaboration will be a huge hit—even for consumers who don’t watch the show.
