As states loosen their stay-at-home regulations, and businesses like restaurants and bars allow for guests once again, there are still plenty of people erring on the side of caution. This past week, Ohio made it so restaurants and bars with outdoor seating could reopen to the public, with indoor spaces to open this Thursday.
Ohio breweries, however, are showing some love for the people playing it safe and buying their beers to enjoy from home, limiting the number of people cramming into small spaces. Some people still want to enjoy their favorite beers, but might be a little wary to venture out in to public just yet.
To show its appreciation for those people, the Ohio Craft Brewers Association (OCBA) invited local beer drinkers to post their selections on Instagram with the hashtag #OhioBrewHaul for the potential to win T-shirts, hoodies, growlers and more.

“Ohio’s craft breweries contribute a great deal of positive impact in their local communities,” OCBA executive director Mary MacDonald told Cincinnati.com. “We created this campaign to give people a fun way to support the brewers that make their neighborhoods, towns and cities such great places to live and work.”
As of printing, there were 421 posts on Instagram with the #OhioBrewHaul hashtag, but only 10 could win the prizes. For those unlucky 411 or so beer enthusiasts, limited edition merchandise will still available on the OCBA online store, and proceeds will go toward local craft breweries that have been financially affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
