Orbus Exhibit and Display Group, Woodbridge, Ill., announced that it has been recognized as a 2019 Green Giving PArtner by one of its recycling partners, Matthew 25: Ministries.
The Green Giving Partner Seal is awarded to corporate partners that display a commitment toward minimizing corporate waste and supporting humanitarian aid to the needy and disaster victims in the U.S. and around the world each year.
Orbus’ contributions aided Matthew 25: Ministries shipped 862 truckloads, or more than 16 million lbs., of repurposed products rescued from landfills, of aid to people in need. It also shipped almost 3 million lbs. of products distributed locally and around the world through disaster relief efforts.
Orbus’ efforts totaled 108 pallets contributed, resulting directly in 99,900 people helped, $25,920 in warehouse costs savings, $7,236 in landfill costs savings and 75,600 lbs. in potential waste being repurposed. Orbus’ recycling efforts as a whole have successfully diverted 90 percent of its total date from landfills in 2018, up from 77 percent in 2017.
Orbus’ ISO 14001:2015 certification is a driving force behind its continued environmental commitment and recycling efforts.
