The 2019 MLB Opening Day is almost here. We’ve been tracking our favorite players’ spring league performances and making sure our fan gear is ready for the big day. Earlier this month, we spotlighted our favorite outside-the-box stadium giveaways, but now, we’re taking a look specifically at MLB apparel giveaways.

Here are the looks we can’t get enough of:
1. Philadelphia Phillies’ Johnson Controls Socks
We’ve already told you that socks are a big promotional play, and these eye-catching socks for the Phillies’ April 6 game against the Minnesota Twins are a great idea for MLB apparel.
2. Chicago Cubs Clark Hooded Towel
We’re counting this as apparel because it has a hood on it. (And, hey, towels are soft goods!) Mini cubs fans will look adorable sporting this look when they’re running around the house, and we think the hooded towel is here to stay. The Cubs promotional schedule is actually pretty impressive this year. We also think the “Color Your Own” bag idea is brilliant MLB apparel marketing.
3. Oakland As Cal vs. Stanford Night Sweatshirts
We’re about to enroll at Cal just so we can get our hands on one of these sweatshirts. And the Stanford looks are great too. Teaming up with the local universities is a great way to get more fans to the game, and these branded looks will make great walking promotions going forward.
4. Kansas City Royals T-shirt Tuesday
The Royals make the list because of their T-shirt Tuesday promotion, which features a different T-shirt giveaway every Tuesday (we guess that was self-explanatory). The point is, they’re not phoning it in with the same tee every time, and we actually think a lot of these are top notch.
5. Anaheim Angels Mike Trout Hat
We know Mike Trout is a sore subject right now after signing a massive deal to keep him in Anaheim forever (sorry, Phillies fans), but the Angels would be crazy not to capitalize like crazy on Trout. We like the design of this hat, and we think player hats are always a good idea.
6. Yankees Arm Sleeve
While it won’t get as much exposure as a T-shirt, kids will love running around the playground with their favorite team’s arm sleeve.
7. San Diego Padres ’80s Night Fanny Pack
Everything about this promotional night is just *chef’s kiss.* The colors are classic Padres, and the font choice on this fanny pack is a big win.
