Pantone is wildly significant in promo world. But every year, we also wait for the Pantone Institute of Color to predict the year’s big color trends and see how they impact the fashion landscape. (This year, we even found out the color company has a monopoly on the “World’s Ugliest Color,” too.) For now, it looks like Pantone is making headlines again as yet another of its shades is taking over the fashion world.
According to Yahoo Style, the burnt orange shade 16-1448 TCX is the latest star shaping streetwear. The color originally appeared in fashion designs from Chloe, Jacquemus and Acne Studios, but it’s now started its Instagram domination. The shade has become the star of the autumn wardrobe, but it looks like this subdued orange shade has no plans to slow down come winter’s transition.
It’s the perfect shade for a knit sweater, but it also is subtle enough that it can be a head-to-toe look.
