Liam Castellanos is well known to Phillies fans by now for being an ever-present and ever-excited presence behind home plate. When his father smacks home runs (and he has been doing it often, thankfully), Liam is usually shown on camera beaming.
The younger Castellanos made an impression on Cincinnati Reds fans while his father was there by designing a T-shirt that the Reds ended up selling, depicting Nick Castellanos as only a then-7-year-old could. Proceeds from the “Liam Castellanos Collection” in Cincinnati went to charity, and Liam is doing it again now that he’s in Philly.
Based on photos shared to Twitter, it looks like this one might even include his dad’s coworker, last season’s MVP Bryce Harper.

Liam has quickly become a fan favorite, as has his dad, so there’s no doubt that Phillies fans will want to get in on this action as the team progresses through the postseason.
It seems that Liam has figured out a lesson that a lot of merchandisers can learn, especially when their customers are in the sports world. You can get creative with your ideas, and do things to celebrate the personalities on the field as well last the collective itself.
And, when you can pull in a charity tie-in, that’s always a good way to attract attention and demand.
Take a page from this 10-year-old’s merchandising playbook. After all, who has more team spirit than a kid whose dad is the only player other than Reggie Jackson to hit five home runs in a three-game span in the playoffs?
