From Maine to Chesapeake and NYC to Harrisburg, distributors enjoyed a Promos in Paradise experience! The Chesapeake Promotional Products Association (CPPA), New England Promotional Products Association (NEPPA), Philadelphia Area Promotional Products Association (PAPPA), and Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY) announced the success of their second annual Power of District “1” Shows collaboration, which was held Jan. 30 – Feb. 2 with 620 distributor attendees.
The Power of 1 Show week offered a tropical escape theme for everyone who attended the four-day winter show week. Two grand prize cruise packages, provided by Promocations, were given away to one lucky distributor and one supplier from the week. This unique opportunity will build business bonds through shared experiences that will yield results for years to come. The winners were supplier NC Custom and SAAGNY distributor member Rachel Levin of Stran.
“NEPPA hosted its second annual Winter Expo in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, on Jan. 30th,” said Christine Carpenter Gleason, NEPPA president and show chair. “We were more than pleased with the turn out! The show was a huge success with a sell-out of exhibit booths and a higher distributor attendance than last year’s show. The exhibit halls were filled with people, the energy was tangible, and everyone seemed sincerely happy to participate in the event. The Power of District 1 Show and our affiliation with the other regional associations have proven to be so much more than anything we could have expected..”
“That was one amazing start to SAAGNY’s Event Calendar for 2023!” said SAAGNY president Michael Reisbaum. “Remarkable and productive education on data security with Jon Norris, COO at Starline; busy and crowded aisles from start to finish; and dynamic energy and discussions. We’re almost back to pre-pandemic – record – attendance levels for both exhibitors and attendees. We’re inspired and emboldened for a ridiculously successful and productive 2023!”
“Distributors and Suppliers seemed to love the theme, new location at the Drexelbrook, and how all District 1 regionals worked together to pull off a great week!” said PAPPA president Staci Whittington at Graphtech. “Looking forward to next year!”
“Attendance was over double the attendance from last year’s show, with 220 ‘happy campers,’ said CPPA’s president Cheryl Hokanson with Brand Boosters. “Attendees were greeted by board members in Hawaiian shirts and were supplied leis, instead of our usual lanyards, and tropical themed swag bags complete with sunglasses, sunscreen, beach balls, and other goodies branded with the Promotions in Paradise theme. In addition, a $300 Margaritaville blender was gifted to one lucky winner at our educational session. CPPA is grateful to the District 1 associations who participated in this joint effort. We are better together!”
