Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), Irving, Texas, has announced the candidates for the PPAI board of directors, class of 2021 election. Distributor candidates are Mitch Rhodus, CAS, of Sterling, Illinois-based HALO Branded Solutions; and Danny Rosin, co-owner of Morrisville, North Carolina-based Brand Fuel Inc. Supplier candidates are Andrew Spellman, vice president of corporate channels at Monroe, Connecticut-based Victorinox Swiss Army; and Sharon Willochell, chief operating officer of New Kensington, Pennsylvania-based Leed’s.
PPAI’s members will elect one candidate from each category, and the elected candidates will begin their four-year board terms immediately following the PPAI Expo 2017. The PPAI board election will take place from Aug. 29 to Sept. 19, with results available in early October.
“Once again, the leadership advisory committee has done an excellent job of identifying, recruiting and vetting capable board candidates for the elected directors nominating committee’s consideration and selection,” said Paul Bellantone, CAE, PPAI’s president and CEO. “The four candidates in this election all have the qualities necessary to serve and lead the PPAI board, and, no matter the outcome in September, the members of PPAI and the industry are the winners. I look forward to working with these talented, accomplished individuals.”
A third-party election administrator will administer the board election by paper ballot as required. To vote, each PPAI member company’s designated voter can visit the PPAI voter site and click on the “vote” button to learn more about the candidates and cast their ballots.
“This year’s candidates have proven track records of success,” said Tom Goos, MAS, PPAI board chair. “And they bring unique backgrounds and skill sets to the table that PPAI and its membership can benefit from. Over the coming election period, members will have ample opportunities to get to know each candidate and cast educated, confident ballots.”
