Bridgeport, Connecticut-based Prime Line has donated merchandise and support to Autism Speaks and Susan’s Rock as it continues a long-standing tradition of helping organizations that benefit the needs of children and families.
Marcus Sweeney, National Accounts Manager for Prime, has devoted a good deal of his time and energy volunteering with various non-profit organizations including the local chapter of Autism Speaks. Through his impetus, Prime Line made a large donation of promotional items to the annual Autism Speaks Golf Tournament. Participants received a variety of Prime products including water bottles, tote bags and drawstring backpacks. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the golf tournament benefit the research, advocacy and awareness programs of the Connecticut chapter of Autism Speaks.
“Marcus’s devotion to helping people and organizations in need is inspirational. We commend him and the other Prime employees who give their time to worthy causes,” said Jeff Lederer, president of Prime Line. “They are great ambassadors for our company,” he added.
Prime Line also pledged support to Susan’s Rock – Stand Strong Against Domestic Violence. This organization focuses on the prevention of violence against women and children through advocacy, education and stronger legislation and enforcement of our protective laws.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is among a small group of charities that has received long term support from Prime Line and the Lederer family.
In June, Prime Line launched a campaign to raise money for breast cancer research, education and support. The company will donate 5% of sales from pink items during the period of July 1 through October 31, 2012 to the Breast Cancer Alliance during a ceremony at company headquarters in mid-November.
