Proforma’s team of developers took place in a Hackathon competition for the benefit of the homeless and underserved communities of Tampa Bay.

The Synapse Innovation Summit Hackathon was developed in partnership with Code for Tampa Bay and Tampa Bay Hackathon. The purpose of the Hackathon is to bring Tampa Bay’s top tech minds together to create positive change through technology. Proceeds of the Hackathon are used to benefit Metropolitan Ministries, an organization that distributes food to the homeless and impoverished.
“We love working hard to build the best technology solutions for our owners everyday, but it is also important to give back to our local community to help protect citizens around the world,” said Brian Carothers, Proformas chief technolgy officer. “We enjoy showcasing and building our developers’ talents, and we are passionate about using technology to improve people’s lives.”
“It gives our team great pride to use their talents and skills to benefit a national audience in the field of technological entrepreneurism,” added Josh Young, Proforma’s application development manager. “We enjoy working with other members of the Tampa Bay technology community to gain exposure to additional technologies that can be used as tools to enhance our system development in the future.”
