Promo Marketing Power Meeting San Antonio A Huge Success

Promo Marketing, the leading source of product and marketing information for distributor sales professional, held its fourth successful Power Meeting last week in San Antonio, Texas, with remarkable results.

Promo Marketing’s Power Meetings are premier business development and networking event in the promotional products industry. Promo Marketing pairs innovative suppliers and successful distributors in a one-on-one setting focused on creating relationships that create sales. More than 80 of the industry’s most elite supplier and distributor companies were invited to the exclusive event, held at the Hotel Contessa from June 3 to 6.

“Power Meetings have improved the communication between suppliers and the top producers in our industry,” said Dave Leskusky, group president of Promo Marketing. “This format delivers an unrivaled learning environment designed to generate fresh ideas, create and enhance relationships and increase revenue and profits.”

Distributors were invited to 20-minute, pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings in each supplier’s luxury suite, where they were able to discuss end-buyer wants, create marketing campaigns and learn about new products. Attendees were also invited to a networking reception at the Hotel Contessa and private dinners off-site in the heart of San Antonio.

The reaction from both suppliers and distributors has again been overwhelmingly positive. “We have done the Power Meetings since the inception of the concept and we have been absolutely ecstatic every time we leave,” said Chase Thompson, president of sales for Hixson, Tenn., supplier Gold Bond Inc. “The amount of business that this has generated for us has been incredible. We’re in for the long haul.”

Daryll Griffin, president/founder of distributor Accolades Inc. of Norcross, Ga., said “These three days have been powerful. The opportunity to meet one-on-one with suppliers and have them be genuinely interested in my company was awesome. Samples were prepared and PowerPoints were made that spoke specifically to our markets. That couldn’t be done in a traditional trade show setting.”

The next Promo Marketing Power Meeting will be September 8 to 11 in Nashville, Tenn. The event is sold out for suppliers, but there are limited spaces still available for qualified distributors.
