This past March, we lost a treasured member of the Ash City family with the passing of Norm Ogroskin. Norm represented Ash City in Southern California for more than 10 years and was actively involved in our industry. His dedication and commitment to his family and work were second to none. Norm’s passionate spirit has touched many at Ash City and his customers over the years, so in his memory we have created the Norm Ogroskin Spirit Award. This award will be presented every year to a member of the Ash City team who demonstrates the same enthusiasm, energy, tireless work ethic, attention to detail and of course, a warm sense of humor as Norm Ogroskin. This year, at our annual Sales Conference, we announced that Christy Acree is the 2010 Award Recipient.
Christy has been with us for two years as a customer service representative supporting our sales force and customers.
Christy set the bar high on her team through her “can do” attitude, her willingness to take ownership of an issue and her persistence to get resolution.
Our sales reps have provided testimonials of the impact her efforts have had, including what a pleasure it is to work with someone who is “upbeat and consistently positive.” Christy is a true representation of the spirit that was “ Norm” and we are very fortunate to have had her join our team!
A permanent plaque will displayed in both our Kansas City and Richmond Hill offices indicating the winner each year. The award winner receives a unique hand-crafted crystal award and $1000 will be donated to the City of Hope in his or her name. We hope this will become a prestigious award for every winner and keep the “Spirit” of Norm alive within our company for many years to come.
