Fairware Inc., based in Vancouver, Canada, and San Francisco, Calif., has joined Reciprocity Road, an alliance of nine distributors located across the U.S and now Canada comprising approximately $220 million in spend.
“Fairware, with its unique business model specializing in ethically sourced sustainable products to drive better consumer habits, has captured the interest of the group,” said Perry Wehrle, MAS, executive director of Reciprocity Road.
“I look forward to having such innovative forward-thinking industry leaders join our group. Sarah and Denise are purpose-driven to the core and will certainly add value and fresh perspective to building a unique alliance of distributors,” said Toby Zacks, president of Zagwear.
Denise Taschereau, co-owner of Fairware, noted, “We’re excited to join the crew at Reciprocity Road. We’ve been approached over the years by other distributor groups, and Reciprocity Road felt best aligned with our mission and values. Reciprocity brings a sense of purpose beyond commodities and transactions, and that was a compelling differentiator.”
Sarah White, co-owner of Fairware added, “We’ve been impressed with the level of transparency and collaboration amongst the group. There is a strong commitment to peer-to-peer sharing and driving best practice across the partners, and we’re looking forward to ways to share, learn and, ultimately, grow.”
