Re/Done, a Los Angeles-based clothing retailer, has partnered with Hanesbrands Inc., Winston-Salem, N.C,. to revamp the apparel manufacturer’s classic cotton T-shirt.
According to Observer, the redesigned T-shirt comes in two women’s styles—the 1950s style features a boxy fit, and the 1960s is longer and slimmer. The T-shirts currently are available in black and white. Re/Done plans to introduce a gray and navy version as well as one-pocket, V-neck, and men’s styles in the future.
“Everybody is always in search of the perfect tee,” Sean Barron, co-founder of Re/Done, told Observer. “This is not a highly designed or conceptual tee, but rather a T-shirt based on the best vintage T-shirt one could find and would never get rid of. That vintage tee was perfect, but irreplaceable until now.”
The T-shirts will be available on Re/Done’s Web store and in Barneys New York stores for $78.
