Rick Greene Rejoins SAAC Board of Directors

Rick Greene, MAS, regional vice president at HALO Branded Solutions, recently rejoined the board of directors for the Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC). Greene was previously president of the organization in 2009, and is rejoining to fill the board seat left by Paul Bergman, who has recently resigned.

Greene has worked as a distributor for over 31 years, 27 of which have been in sales management. He has been published in a number of industry magazines, including PPB and Corporate Logo, as well as a number of consumer publications, such as the San Diego Union/Tribune. Greene has been a part of the SAAC Board and a committee member since 2006, serving a number of roles for the organization, including president in 2009. He has been at HALO Branded Solutions for the last 10 years.

“I’m delighted that Rick has agreed to come back on the SAAC Board and become involved again,” said Sarah deBoer, MAS, SAAC president and regional sales manager, business gifts at A.T. Cross Company. “He is our SAACTimes Editor and will continue to do a wonderful job every month with our newsletter. He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership that is critical to helping SAAC grow and become a stronger association.”

“I am thrilled to return to the SAAC Board in 2013 and be part of the reimagining and rebranding of The SAAC Show,” said Greene. “When I was president of SAAC in 2009, I had a vacancy on my board that needed to be urgently filled. I went to my dear friend and past-president Les Dorfman and asked him to return to the board,” he said. “As it happened, Les had been approached to run for the PPAI board and couldn’t do both. ‘Rick,’ he told me, ‘My heart is with SAAC. If you tell me you need me, I’m there!’ I told Les I needed him and he walked away from the PPAI opportunity and came back to SAAC,” Greene explained. “I never forgot that, and now that I am in a position to give back to SAAC in exactly the same way, I simply cannot refuse Sarah or the Board. That, combined with the opportunity to help make this the most exciting SAAC show in years is very appealing to this SAACateer!”

Greene will be joining the rest of the SAAC board at the 2013 SAAC show, scheduled for August 7 and 8, as well as many of its associated networking events, including the Arnie Kronenberger Golf Classic & Silent Auction, which is scheduled for April 22, 2013. Registration is open both events, click here for the golf classic and here for The 2013 SAAC Show.
