David Chen of Totally Bamboo, San Marcos, Calif., was recently appointed to the Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC) board of directors. Chen was appointed as a result of Matt Traverse of Norwood stepping aside to accept similar responsibilities for Norwood in the Tennessee market place.
“We are just delighted to have David as part of our SAAC team for this year,” said Craig Reese, 2012 president of SAAC. “While we will definitely miss having Matt serve out his term, David brings some new perspectives and fresh insight to our group that are right in line with our mission for this year. I couldn’t have a stronger team behind me than this talented and dedicated group! Welcome, David!”
Chen’s professional background includes 16 years with Totally Bamboo, which is his family’s business. David has experienced every facet of the business ranging from order entry to his current assignment, which is managing the sales efforts. He is a creative person that will bring a lot of newfound energy to the 2012 board of directors. Some of his hobbies include racing cars, travel and spending quality time with friends.
“I am honored and look forward to embracing the challenge of helping the industry in my new position on the board,” Chen said.
