About Arnie Kronenberger
He was just another guy born in Minnesota, a ladies man, golfer, WWII vet, professional square dance caller and so on. Well, there is just a little more. Those of us who knew him for the gentleman he was can tell you more if asked.
What really stands out was his career in the promotional products industry. When he joined the R.R. Perry Company it was called Specialty Advertising. He broke into the industry the old fashioned way and progressed into being the sales manager at the Perry Company. He joined Idea Man Inc. in the ’70s and after a short stint with HALO he was welcomed at Jack Nadel International, where he was still employed until his death.
During all of those years in our industry he was also an avid SAAC member, past president, and honorary life member. During those years he got the nickname
of “Coach.” He helped salesmen on both sides of the business. Fellow account executives along with factory multi-line reps were happy to take the advice of the “old pro” that he was. Arnie was a soft-sell gentleman who knew what to do and say at all times. He was the go-to guy and gladly helped all who sought his advice.
Since the SAAC Golf Tournament is the major source of funds for the General Scholarship Fund, it was only natural we named it in his honor.
