The GoGreen Giveaway debuted at the January trade shows and continued through April with a Smart Car and Eco display at various industry events.
Terrie Martin of M&M Graphics in Belton, Mo. is the grand-prize winner of the Smart Car. “It’s great for running around town. We’ve been using it for our smaller deliveries and it really gets lots of looks,” said Martin.
Julie Clemons of D’Sign in Arlington Heights, Ill. is the first-prize winner of an all-inclusive 5-day, 4-night eco-trip to Paradisus Playa Conchal in Costa Rica. “We’re very excited, we’re like little kids at Christmas,” said Clemons. “Dan and I haven’t been on a vacation together since our honeymoon and that was 16 years ago. We’ve been busy working and having kids.”
The promotion highlighted the many recycled and organic products offered by Anvil Knitwear. The company has taken a strong stand for the environment both in its manufacturing and in their overall business practices. “We wanted to create a campaign to call attention to Anvil’s eco styles, in addition to having some fun at trade shows and at our road shows this year,” said Margaret Crow, director of marketing at S&S Activewear. “Having the Smart Car on display at industry events stopped people in their tracks.
