Oak Brook, Illinois-based writing instrument supplier Sanford Business-to-Business announced the April 4 earthquake that struck near its Mexicali, Mexico caused minor damage to the company’s decorating facility. All employees are safe and an inspection has substantiated that the Mexicali facility is structurally sound and will return to operational capacity as soon as possible.
“We are working with our colleagues in Mexicali who were impacted by the earthquake to balance their personal needs with our business demands,” said Kristie Schnier, national director of sales and marketing for Sanford Business-to-Business. “As a result, it is necessary for us to make minor adjustments to our production and distribution schedules so, during this transition period, we are moving out the ship date of all orders by one week.”
