Selco Supports Folds of Honor Foundation

A watch supplier based in Tulsa, Okla. is donating a portion of proceeds from a promotional item to a nonprofit.

Selco and artist Thomas Bradford designed a watch dial that features the logo of Folds of Honor Foundation, Owasso, Oklahoma-based nonprofit that provides scholarships, as well as other forms of assistance, to families of American soldiers who were killed or disabled while serving in the military. A custom engraving also is available on the American-made watch’s case.

For each watch sold, Selco will donate $50 to the Folds of Honor Foundation, which was founded by Iraq War veteran Major Dan Rooney and named for the American flag-folding ritual.

“Selco is proud to partner with the Folds of Honor for this great cause,” Selco’s owner Mark Abels said. “When our sales manager, Ross Fraser, brought the idea to me earlier this year I quickly agreed that this is a worthwhile cause and a fantastic way to help the foundation generate scholarship money.

“We started off by donating a watch to everybody who works for the foundation. We are also working on a few items that will fit in very well with the Folds of Honor Foundation’s focus on raising money through golf events. We are thrilled to have this relationship and look forward to working with them over the years raising money for a superior cause.”
