Small-businesses to Use Promotional Marketing to Meet Business Goals

Eighty-seven percent of small-business leaders are optimistic about 2015, and have goals of increasing revenue (76 percent), driving profits (70 percent) and gaining more customers (70 percent), according to a recent Staples‘ survey.

To accomplish those goals, 46 percent said they will use promotional marketing, but 46 percent want to eliminate spending for ineffective marketing and promotional campaigns. Other ways to accomplish their goals include being more organized (38 percent) and upgrading software technology (35 percent).

Eighty-five percent of small-business owners also indicated they search for bargains for their businesses while 79 percent seek vendors that offer rewards and points that can be used toward future purchases.

The survey was conducted online by Research Now between Jan. 3 and Feb. 6, and included 999 small-business leaders across the country.
