Hebron, Ohio-based Heritage Sportswear Inc., a leading wholesaler of imprintable apparel and accessories, has recruited football player, sports commentator and radio celebrity Chris Spielman to present “The Champion in All of Us” at their annual customer event, the BIG IDEA Wearable Show, April 22, Hyatt Regency Columbus, Columbus, Ohio.
Spielman’s presentation starts at 4 p.m. and he will autograph Champion T-shirts immediately following. Heritage partnered with Champion to bring this dynamic inspirational speaker to the show. “It was a great opportunity for Champion to deliver not only our products to Heritage customers, but a winning presentation,” commented Debbie Koenig, senior manager of national accounts–Champion, Hanes, OuterBanks.
Spielman was two-time All American with The Ohio State University Buckeyes, a three-time All Big Ten pick, and is among the school’s all-time leading tacklers with 546 tackles overall. Further, Spielman was the leading tackle for the Detroit Lions in eight straight seasons, was named All Pro first team by Football Digest, and was voted to the Pro Bowl four times.
Spielman’s greatest honor was receiving the very first Stefanie’s Champions Award established by his late wife Stefanie Spielman to recognize the importance of unwavering support in the battle against breast cancer. Stefanie and Chris Spielman raised more than $65 million dollars for breast cancer research prior to her passing in November of 2009. Stephanie’s Champions celebrates 11 years in 2010.
