Staples, the parent company of Staples Advantage and Staples Promotional Products based in Framingham, Mass., recently announced the appointment of John Buchta to vice president, treasurer and tax. He succeeds Lisa Scopa, who has been appointed vice president, high growth markets.
Buchta adds the role of treasurer to his current responsibilities as vice president, tax, which he’s held since joining Staples in 2011. He previously was a partner at Ernst & Young.
“John has been an outstanding leader at Staples and brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new role,” said Christine Komola, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Buchta’s supervisor.
