T-shirt Maker Botches Gameday Shirt

While Americans are getting excited for the return of college football, fans abroad are starting to show their interest in American football as well. As part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Ireland, Georgia Tech University and Boston College will face off in Dublin. Now, we in the U.S. know the difference between Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia, and that fans of each school don’t want to be confused with each other, but it looks like the Irish aren’t as aware.

T-shirts available for sale in Dublin say “Georgia vs. Boston,” with nondescript helmets sort of featuring the schools’ colors.

Not only did the T-shirt makers not clarify which Georgia school is playing, the omission of “College” for Boston College could cause some fans to confuse it for Boston University.

However, the teams’ names are spelled correctly in the end zones of the field set for Saturday’s game, Ken Seguira, a Georgia Tech reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reported.
