We always joke that it’s a gazillion degrees here in Philadelphia. While this is true (I just heard something about 104 degrees tomorrow!), I am always freezing at my desk. Every day, without fail, I bring a hoodie with me to the office—and more often than not, I wear it. I love whoever invented air conditioning and am grateful that we have it at the PM headquarters, but I never know what to expect. This is when layering becomes so important. Instead of shivering in my cubicle complaining about how cold I feel, I can focus on my editorial responsibilities.
Another good reason to start thinking about hoodies is because there’s one month left until September (not including this last week of July, sticklers). High humidity will soon be replaced by crisp autumn air. The fall conjures up images of football, pumpkins, colorful leaves, hot chocolate—all of which remind me of my reliable hoodie.
