Recently, it was brought to my attention that a minor league team called the Chicago Dogs exists. Subsequently, I spent the rest of my afternoon checking out the official merchandise store, and I came to the conclusion that Minor League Baseball apparel is my new favorite thing. Teams seem to have the green light to have a little more fun than their major league counterparts, and the font choices and graphics are true crowd-pleasers.
Once I went down the minor league apparel rabbit hole, I couldn’t stop. Now that I’ve done the deep dive, I wanted to share some of my favorites.
Obviously, there are a ridiculous amount of minor league baseball teams, so chances are I missed a few gems. If there’s any amazing minor league baseball fan apparel that I missed, let me know in the comments section.
1. Chicago Dogs T-shirt
Naturally, I had to go with the shirt that started it all for my No. 1 pick. I love the font, the logo, and I appreciate the baseball graphic in the background. Only problem is now I’m hungry.
2. Rocket City Trash Pandas Hoodie
Admittedly, I want all the merchandise from the Trash Pandas online store. And it looks like I’m not the only one. It turns out the team’s merchandise is flying off the shelves, and I can see why: That graphic is amazing.
3. Fresno Grizzlies/Tacos Jersey
The Fresno Grizzlies do an amazing theme night where they become the Fresno Tacos for one game. The corresponding merchandise is always a highlight, and I am seriously considering purchasing one of these jerseys.
4. Traverse City Pit Spitters Inaugural T-shirt
I’ve spoken about my adoration for the new Pit Spitters’ logo before, but seeing it on merchandise sealed the deal. I love the cherry logo, and I appreciate that the team came out with an inaugural season T-shirt to get fans amped up.
5. Lehigh Valley Ironpigs Liberty Bell Cap
Holy embroidery, this is some impressive stitching. I love the color choices on this New Era cap.
6. New Orleans Baby Cakes Bib
If your team logo is a baby, you should probably have a stellar bib in your merchandise lineup. Thankfully, the Baby Cakes delivered on this one.
7. Hillsboro Hops Sugar Skull Tee
I have to admit I don’t even know where Hillsboro is, but if it means scoring one of these T-shirts, I will book a trip there stat. This graphic is not ordinarily the Hop’s logo, but I appreciate whatever theme night is happening here. They’ve also got a beer/baseball tee that I am seriously considering purchasing.
8. Vermont Lake Monsters Socks
If you’re looking for the most eye-catching socks ever, the Lake Monsters have you covered. The navy accents and the gradient dots are nice additions, and yet everything blends together nicely.
9. Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Retro T-shirt
I recently threw all my minor league support behind the Quakes because I need a Los Angeles-based minor league team. After checking out the team’s merchandise, I have no regrets. This T-shirt is giving major “Space Jam” vibes, and I am here for it.
10. Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Tee
OK, usually I would say cutouts and baseball team apparel don’t mix, but the Jumbo Shrimp just proved me wrong. Hey, Jacksonville, if you’re listening: I’ve got a birthday coming up, and wouldn’t mind one of these branded looks.
